Laptop Lunches – Bento Box

Posted by deborah

Reusable Bags is one of my favorite places to shop for earth-friendly products. I’ve bought SIGGs and Klean Kanteens here. Their customer service is excellent. My products arrived within a week, and they sent a survey afterwards to solicit my feedback. I am having a problem with a Kleen Kanteen they sent me, and I need to call them. It arrived with a bent bottom, so it does not sit on a flat surface — it wobbles. I’ll let you know how it goes once I get in touch with them.

What I really like about Reusable Bags is that they offer beautiful products. The SIGG bottles are works of art.

A few months ago, I started to wonder how to better organize my daughter’s lunches. She’s often the only child at her care provider’s house, so she gets a lot of attention and more time can be spent on taking her lunch out of containers.

That won’t be the case next year. The preschool she’ll attend will have several children to one teacher, and I’m sure the teachers will appreciate a lunch container that a child can handle pretty much on their own.

Enter the Bento Box. I’ve been eyeing these for years. My husband wanted to get some, but I nearly had a heart attack at the cost of the lacquered boxes sold in the local Japanese import store. I quickly forgot that idea until I came across the Reusable Bags Bento Box.

The colorful and attractive compartments are fun to a preschooler. Hey, it’s even a treat to pack all of the little compartments with yummy food to eat. I have to admit it. It’ll also be much more pleasant than spooning eggs, peas, and so on into recycled glass baby food jars, which is my old system.

  1. [...] on Bento Yum. It’s extremely difficult to find a nonplastic alternative when it comes to a bento box. Although the Zojirushi lunch container has plastic on the outside, it won’t touch your food. [...]
